The Texas
Legislature honored Round Rock with the title
Daffodil
Capital of Texas in May, 2003. Well before
that time, many
(including senior citizens) were working to beautify our
fair city by encouraging businesses, government and neighbors
to spread daffodils all around the area.
This website is dedicated to
continuing and promoting that tradition, offering a focal
point for engaging all elements of the Round Rock area,
collecting and distributing information about how each of us
may participate in and celebrate the beauty of our part of
Central Texas. Spring-time daffodils contribute to that beauty.

This website is sponsored by the
Round Rock
Senior Citizens Foundation. Committees within the
Foundation develop plans for community awareness and then,
along with many interested community volunteers,
work with government, civic organizations, schools,
churches, neighborhood associations, businesses and
individual citizens to arrange daffodil bulb plantings in
the fall and celebrate their bloomings with the annual
Daffodil Festival
each spring. Besides Foundation committees
and volunteers, there are
many sponsors. You are invited to view the current
list of sponsors and encouraged to
consider their offerings for your personal, business and community needs.
This list changes, so please visit it often.
