BOARD OF DIRECTORS/MEMBERS

You may review the structure of the Board of Directors and officers on the Charter Documents page. While you'll see the minimum number of board meetings is two per year, those meetings are actually occurring monthly.

While voting members are especially needed, the Foundation charter also provides for a small number of non-voting members who add their backgrounds to board discussions. The original provision for these non-voting members, called honorary members, was to assure continuity for the fledgling organization. Today, honorary members are of great value as they apply their thoughts and energy to Foundation projects.

There is plenty to do, so please consider your backgrounds and interests, roll up your sleeves and send us an application. Instructions for acquiring an application form are shown above.

CONSULTANTS
Consultants are invited to apply their talents and connections to bring the best solutions for Foundation ventures. Consultants may attend board meetings, especially when appropriate matters are to be considered, but meetings are not required. Consultants are invited who have backgrounds in law, medicine, finance and investments, management, event planning, marketing, insurance, senior education, etc., etc. Please consider how you might benefit the senior community specifically or the Round Rock area in general as part of the Foundation.

Use the membership application form, available as shown above, to offer your services as a Foundation consultant. We welcome your contributions!

VOLUNTEERS
You may be looking for a place to invest your time and talents on an occasional basis. Consider becoming a volunteer pool member. Under the present financial model, there is a flurry of activity in the summer and fall to sell, distribute and plant daffodil bulbs. Another flurry of activity comes in late winter in preparations for the annual Daffodil Festival in March. Volunteers are the life-blood of Daffodil Festival support, and we have enjoyed magnificent support, recently, from our volunteers. Please don't wait until the Festival is almost upon us before making your availability known. We can use your help with planning prior to the Festival. Our membership form, above, does not cover volunteers, so please contact us directly with your proposal. We look forward to hearing from you! Thanks for including our efforts among yours.
